Mr.Kellener, or “Mr. Koolner”"
Mrs. Meyers, the 6th grade science teacher, had a baby boy. That means a new teacher is in town. Since he began in January, the new teacher, Mr.Erik Kellener has been enjoying his time at MVMS. Mr.Kellener said he has always been a fan of science. As a kid, he was outdoors a lot and was curious about how the world worked . That is why he became a science teacher.
Kellener specializes in biology. After working at the Marin Headlands Institute for two years, Kellner thought it would be fun to teach kids again. Sixth grader Gage thinks that Mr.Kellener is a very good teacher.
Principal Huxley is also impressed with Kellener. He said that it can be hard to find a replacement this late in the school year. Huxley said that when he hires a teacher, he wants to make sure that he or she has strong knowledge of the given subject, and is kind, and willing to collaborate with fellow
teachers.
