Forming New Clubs at MVMS Presents Challenges

Have you seen or heard people talking about making a club at MVMS?  Well, making one is pretty hard.
Many people don’t really think about a club before they start one.  Making a club takes a lot of effort.  You need to get the members, teacher sponsor and a good meeting place. You also have to schedule things to do and plan events.
When someone undertakes the responsibility of a club they usually can’t hold it up, like a sixth grader named Gage Chose. He tried to make a Comic Club, and never succeeded because he couldn’t get enough members. That’s one of the challenging things you have to overcome.
Many clubs at MVMS (like Yearbook) are teacher run and have been in the school for a long time, though some clubs are new like Robotics or Juggling. Most times the successful clubs have organized events, meetings or even contests that require planning that can be incredibly hard to do.
If you want to make a club, find a teacher who will be able to coordinate dates and activities.  If you have a well-organized club people like Alex Gordon will say, “Hey that sounds fun, let’s join that club!  It seems pretty cool.”
