It was manly used in ancient times for hardening bronze. Also a Arab prepared arsenic trioxide in the 700’s. So similar to mercury that in the past scientist and other people get them confused all the time that’s how alike they are.
History
Arsenic has been used as a weapon it has been toxic and poisonous and is used a lot in rat poison. Arsenic was also used in bronze. In the 700’s an Arab named Jabir that was the first to prepare arsenic trioxide, which is a white tasteless odorless powder.

Arsenic does not melt, however under major pressure it can be forced to melt at the temperature 814c(1,500f). Arsenic has the density of 5.72 grams per cubed centimeters.

Uses
Arsenic if you didn’t know before is a poison it is put in rat poison and if a person has a lot of arsenic it can result of dying. Common alloys of arsenic are found in lead storage batteries, cars, and trucks, which is not to safe for people. Also used to harden bronze.
